Overview

Lucid Trading is a US futures firm that sells one-time-fee evaluations on CME products. There's no monthly rebilling and no activation fee when you pass. It suits intraday futures traders who want an end-of-day drawdown and a 90% split from the first payout.

How the evaluation works

  • LucidFlex: a 5% target on the $25K account and 6% on the larger ones. The max loss is $1,000 to $4,500 depending on size. No single day can be more than 50% of your profit, so you need at least two days to pass. A daily loss limit is optional at checkout and makes the account cheaper.

  • LucidPro: the same targets and max loss, and you can pass in one day. The 50K to 150K accounts carry a daily loss limit that only locks you out for the rest of the session.

Both plans use an end-of-day drawdown. It trails your highest closing balance and locks at the starting balance plus $100 once you're far enough ahead.

Rules worth knowing

Everything has to be flat by 4:45 PM ET. Lucid closes anything still open, though it doesn't fail you for it. News trading is allowed on Flex and Pro. Hedging the same contract across accounts is banned, and so is microscalping: if more than half your profit comes from trades held five seconds or less, expect a review. Bots and trade copiers are allowed.

Getting paid

The split is 90% on every payout. LucidFlex needs five days that each clear a minimum profit, then lets you request up to half your profit, capped at $1,000 to $3,000. LucidPro needs a 40% consistency score and profit above a buffer. Payouts go by Plaid bank transfer, WorkMarket (bank or PayPal) or crypto.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Lucid Trading has built a large and mostly positive review base in a short time. It scores 4.4 on Trustpilot from about 5,900 reviews, a big total for a futures firm that launched in 2025, and 4.6 on Prop Firm Match from about 160 verified traders. Payout speed is the theme that comes up again and again. One caution: most of its Trustpilot reviews come from customers the firm invited to review, and one review site notes the firm advertises a higher score than Trustpilot currently shows.

What traders like

  • Very fast payouts. By far the most common praise. Many reviewers on Trustpilot, Prop Firm Match and Reddit say payouts were approved in minutes and reached their bank the same day.

  • Simple rules and low prices. Traders like one-time fees with no activation charge, end of day drawdown and a low evaluation target.

  • Dashboard and platform links. Several mention a clean dashboard that updates quickly and easy connection to Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic.

  • Responsive support. Some say support answered fast when they needed it.

Common complaints

  • Rules that keep changing. Several reviewers and review sites say frequent product and rule changes make older advice unreliable, and that rules shift between the evaluation and funded stages.

  • Consistency and payout conditions. A few find the consistency rules strict, or did not expect the buffer and caps before withdrawing.

  • Account reviews and bans. A handful of Reddit posters say accounts were put under review or banned, including one over a chargeback the trader denies.

  • Doubts about the hype. Some Reddit users say the volume of positive posts makes them wary.

Recently

  • August 2026: one review site reported that Lucid stopped listing challenge prices on its site and now shows the final price only at checkout.

  • August 2026: a Reddit thread from a would-be customer blocked by an account review before buying drew replies from traders saying their payouts had been fine.

  • August 2026: a review site sampling payout reviews found most positive, with the negatives mainly about how the firm handled a Rithmic outage.
