Overview

IQ Capital is a UAE-incorporated prop firm founded by trading championship winner Christoph Radecker. It sells one-phase challenges for crypto and CFDs on MT5, and a separate futures line on dxFeed platforms such as Quantower, ATAS and Deepchart. It suits traders who size small, since a per-trade risk cap shapes everything.

How the evaluation works

  • Core Challenge, crypto and CFDs ($50K to $200K): an 8% target and a 6% trailing drawdown (5% on the $200K), with no daily loss limit.

  • Core Challenge, futures ($50K and $100K): a 6% target and a 6% end-of-day trailing drawdown. A daily-loss-limit version swaps in a tighter drawdown plus a daily cap of $1,000 or $1,500.

  • Rapid (futures): a 6% target, a 40% consistency rule while you pass and an 80% split with faster payouts once funded.

  • Instant Funding: no target, funded from day one.

You only need one profitable day to pass, and every challenge runs for up to 30 days.

Rules worth knowing

  • In the evaluation you can risk at most 1% of the starting balance per trade, and 0.5% once funded. A breach closes the trade as a soft breach. The third one closes the account.

  • At least half your trades, and half your profit, must come from positions held longer than 15 seconds.

  • Funded accounts carry a 30% consistency rule.

  • Funded accounts pay a monthly management fee: $5 for crypto and CFDs, $19 for futures.

Getting paid

The split is up to 90%, or 80% on Rapid. Your first payout comes after ten active trading days, and each later one needs ten more days and fresh profit. You can take up to 50% of profits per request, with caps that rise from $1,500 on a $50K account.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

IQ Capital is a young firm, launched in 2025, and almost all of its review history sits on Trustpilot, where it scores 4.7 from about 550 reviews. That count has roughly doubled since July 2026, so most reviews are recent and many come from traders still early in their first challenge. Reddit discussion is light. Trustpilot shows a notice that the company may be associated with high-risk investments, and one of its listings noted the firm had not replied to negative reviews. Do not confuse it with IQ Capital Invest, a separate business that Germany's BaFin warned about in 2024.

What traders like

  • Cheap entry. Many reviewers mention the $1 newcomer challenge and low-priced evaluations as the reason they tried it.

  • Support. Trustpilot reviewers, in English and German, often praise quick and personal help, including on evenings and weekends.

  • Clear rules and a forgiving drawdown. Several say the rules are easy to follow and the end-of-day drawdown takes pressure off.

  • Payouts. A Reddit futures trader says several five-figure payouts were approved and sent quickly, and Trustpilot reviewers who reached payout report the same.

Common complaints

  • The per-trade loss rule. A Reddit user calls the firm reliable but says it is unclear how to size a stop under the per-trade loss cap, which closes positions and counts toward a breach.

  • Untested at scale. Many positive reviews come from traders who have not yet been paid, so the payout record is short.

Negative reviews are a small share, about 4% one-star by one count, and the evidence holds too few of them to show a firm pattern.

Recently

  • August 2026: a Reddit thread asking about the firm drew mostly positive replies on payouts, plus the complaint about the per-trade loss rule.

  • July to October 2026: the Trustpilot review count grew from about 260 to about 550 as the firm moved into futures.
