Overview

Instant Funding is a London-based firm, launched in 2022, best known for funded accounts you buy outright with no evaluation. It also sells one- and two-phase challenges for forex, indices, commodities and crypto on MT5, cTrader or Match-Trader. It suits traders who would rather pay more up front than sit through a test.

How the evaluation works

  • Instant Funding PRO: no target and no daily limit. The floor starts 10% below your starting balance and moves up to 5% below it once you're 5% in profit. Sizes run from $625 to $120K.

  • One-Phase PRO: a 10% target, 3% daily loss limit and an 8% static maximum loss, with at least 3 trading days.

  • Two-Phase: 8% then 5%, with a 5% daily and 10% static loss limit and 3 trading days per phase.

There are cheaper Micro and Lite versions too, each with its own limits.

Rules worth knowing

On funded challenge and instant accounts, trades opened or closed within 4 minutes of a major release are restricted unless you bought the news and weekend add-on. The same add-on is needed to hold over the weekend; challenge phases can hold freely. Instant accounts cap risk on one trade idea at 3% of the starting balance. Public third-party EAs, grid trading and holding trades under 60 seconds aren't allowed. An account with no trades for 60 days is closed.

Getting paid

The split is 80%, or 90% with an add-on. Instant accounts pay 14 days after your first trade, then every 7 days. Challenge accounts use on-demand payouts once your best day is under 40% of total profit. Payouts go by bank transfer or crypto through Rise, or direct crypto, from $25.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Instant Funding has a large and mostly positive review base: 4.5 on Trustpilot from about 3,700 reviews and 4.0 on Prop Firm Match from about 360 verified reviews. The gap between the two hints at the pattern underneath. Plenty of traders report smooth, quick payouts, while a sizeable group of low reviews describe accounts closed or payouts denied at the review stage. One review site counted close to a third of the Trustpilot reviews as one-star.

What traders like

  • Fast payouts. Many reviewers say withdrawals arrived the same day or within about a day, often in crypto.

  • No evaluation. Traders like being able to start on a funded account straight away, especially on the cheaper IF Micro accounts.

  • Trading conditions. Several reviews praise spreads, execution speed and chart accuracy.

  • Support and community. Support staff and the Discord get regular praise, and a few traders say they were given a second chance after a minor rule slip.

Common complaints

  • Payouts denied after compliance review. The most common serious complaint. Several reviewers on Trustpilot, Prop Firm Match and Forex Peace Army say a payout request triggered a review that found copy trading, shared IP or VPS issues they dispute, sometimes from hotel or mobile connections.

  • Strict risk rules. Some traders say the per-trade loss limit or the Smart Drawdown, which tightens once you are up 5%, caught them out, including trades counted together that they opened seconds apart.

  • Slippage. A few reviewers say stops filled well past their level and that requests for tick data went unanswered.

  • Price rises. Some long-time customers complain that account prices went up without notice.

Recently

  • September 2026: a Prop Firm Match reviewer describes an account terminated on 1 September for alleged copy trading and a shared IP, traced to travel on public Wi-Fi. Similar disputes keep appearing in recent reviews.
