Overview

IC Funded is a forex and CFD prop firm run by IC Funded Evaluations Ltd in Saint Lucia, with a sister company in Limassol, Cyprus, handling distribution. You trade forex, indices, commodities and a little crypto on MT5 or cTrader. It suits day traders who close out before the weekend and want a familiar two-step with a fixed floor.

How the evaluation works

  • IC Funded Professional (2-step): 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily drawdown and a 10% maximum drawdown fixed to the starting balance. Each phase needs 3 active days. It runs from $74 for $5K to $2,999 for $500K.

  • IC Funded Accelerated (1-step): a 10% target, a 3% daily drawdown and a 6% maximum, also with 3 active days. Sizes go from $10K ($154) to $100K ($809).

  • IC Funded Instant: no evaluation. The maximum drawdown is 5% from your highest end-of-day equity and the daily limit is 3% of the previous day's closing equity. From $109 for $5K to $879 for $100K.

Rules worth knowing

  • Weekend holding isn't allowed on any program.

  • News trading is open during the challenges, but funded accounts can't trade within 3 minutes of a release. Instant accounts can't trade news at all.

  • Instant accounts carry a 20% consistency rule and only allow EAs you've built yourself.

  • Leverage on the 2-step is 1:50 on forex, 1:20 on indices and commodities and 1:2 on crypto. The 1-step and instant accounts get up to 1:30 on forex.

Getting paid

Challenge accounts pay up to 90%, instant accounts 80%. Payouts run on 14-day cycles. You need 5 profitable days before your first payout, 3 before the second and none after that. The challenge fee comes back after your third payout. The site doesn't list payout methods on its public pages.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

IC Funded, the prop firm tied to the broker IC Markets, has a small and divided review record. Trustpilot showed 2.5 from about 110 reviews in mid-2026, and a review site that checked the page in September found 3.0 from 158, with almost as many one-star reviews as five-star ones. Older review sites quote 4.4 to 4.6 from far fewer reviews, so treat any single number with care. The firm relaunched under new management in May 2026, which means much of the feedback predates the current setup. Forex Peace Army and Prop Firm Match have pages on it but no score, and Prop Firm Match lists it as unlisted.

What traders like

  • Trading conditions. Several reviewers and a Reddit poster praise the spreads and execution they link to the IC Markets backing.

  • Cheap, equity-based passing. A Reddit trader who took several payouts liked that the challenge passes the moment the target is hit and that prices are low.

  • Support in everyday questions. Earlier reviews often single out helpful support.

Common complaints

  • Accounts terminated after a payout request. The most common low review describes an account reviewed and closed once a withdrawal was requested, often for layering or other prohibited practices the trader disputes. The firm replies publicly that its risk team found the behaviour.

  • Long risk reviews and silence. Some say they waited weeks or months for a risk team decision, could only reach live chat, or got no reply to formal complaints.

  • Slow payouts. A few reviewers say payouts took longer than promised.

  • Drawdown confusion. A Forex Peace Army reviewer says the drawdown trailed balance rather than equity, contrary to what support had told them.

Recently

  • July to September 2026: review sites checking in July and September note the same pattern of complaints about terminations after payout requests, alongside positive reports from traders who were paid. The September Trustpilot check found the score around 3.0.
