Overview

FundingTraders is a forex and CFD firm offering two 2-step models, a 1-step and an Instant Account, on MT5 and TradeLocker. You can trade forex, indices, metals, oil and crypto. It suits traders who like choosing their risk profile and don't mind a per-trade risk cap once funded.

How the evaluation works

  • 2-Step Pro10: 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily and 10% overall loss limit on a static floor. Four trading days per phase.

  • 2-Step Pro6: 6% in both phases, with a 3% daily and 6% overall limit, also static.

  • 1-Step Pro: a single 10% target, 3% daily loss and a 10% overall limit that trails your highest balance.

  • Instant Account: no target. 3% daily, and a 6% limit that trails until you're 3% up, then locks at the starting balance.

Rules worth knowing

  • Funded evaluation accounts cap risk at 2% of the starting balance per trade idea. On the 1-Step that applies during the challenge too. Instant accounts are capped at 1% floating loss.

  • News trading is open during challenges. Once funded you can't open or close within the restricted news window, and news trades can't make up more than 30% of profit.

  • Instant accounts ban news trading and need five profitable days of 0.25% in every 30 days.

  • Third-party EAs are out unless they only manage risk.

  • Holding overnight and over weekends is allowed.

Getting paid

The 2-step accounts pay 80% and the 1-Step and Instant pay 90%, with add-ons up to 100%. Evaluation accounts pay every 21 days by default, or 14 with an add-on. Instant accounts pay every 7 days but need a 15% consistency score. Payouts go through Rise or USDT, and your fee comes back with the second payout.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

FundingTraders has a divided reputation, and none of the review sites in our evidence show a current score we could confirm. A third-party review from late 2025 put its Trustpilot score at 3.7 from over 3,300 reviews, but we could not check that against the page. Forex Peace Army, Prop Firm Match, Myfxbook and Reddit all have plenty of discussion. Much of the praise is for cheap accounts, giveaways and fast first payouts. Much of the criticism is about denied payouts and how the firm handles reviews.

What traders like

  • Payouts for some. A good number of reviewers report payouts arriving within a day, in some cases within hours.

  • Low prices and giveaways. Affordable challenges and giveaway accounts come up often, along with an active Discord.

  • Responsive support. Many positive reviews describe support as quick and helpful.

Common complaints

  • Denied or reduced payouts. Several traders on Trustpilot, Reddit and Prop Firm Match say payouts were refused or cut over news trading, risk limits or rules they call arbitrary. One Prop Firm Match reviewer says a 50% payout was approved and then not paid for over a month.

  • Execution disputes. Some report heavy slippage, and a Myfxbook reviewer says support admitted it had no tick data yet ruled the dispute final.

  • Pressure over reviews. A Reddit poster says the firm offered a free retake only if they deleted a negative Trustpilot review.

  • Tight consistency rules. A few say the default consistency rule makes reaching a payout hard without paying for an upgrade.

Recently

  • July 2026: Forex Peace Army reports more than 1,200 positive reviews arriving over one weekend, judged them likely compensated, and set those ratings to zero.

  • September 2026: an independent review notes the hybrid in-house broker setup and advises comparing execution claims carefully.
