Overview
BluSky Trading is a futures prop firm based in St. Petersburg, Florida. It sells three evaluation families plus instant funding, and works with Rithmic, Tradovate and Volumetrica. It suits futures day traders who want daily payouts and can live with an extra phase between passing and getting funded.
How the evaluation works
Launch (50K to 200K): a cheap monthly plan with a 50% consistency rule. You pay a $99 to $179 launch fee when you pass, then clear a Buffer Zone with its own target before funding.
Propel (25K to 300K): the same three phases with no launch fee and a higher subscription. The consistency rule is 34%, or 21% on the 300K.
Orbit (50K to 200K): a one-time fee, one evaluation phase and no consistency rule, so you can pass in a day. It expires after 30 days.
Instant Sim Funded (50K): no evaluation, a $2,000 intraday trailing drawdown and a $1,000 daily loss limit.
No evaluation has a daily loss limit. Drawdowns trail end of day, except on the static 150K to 300K sizes.
Rules worth knowing
News trading is allowed. You need to be flat before the 5 PM ET close; the system tries to liquidate about 15 minutes earlier. Breaking consistency won't fail an account, but you can't pass a phase or take a payout until you're back inside it. Trade copiers are fine across your own accounts, but going long in one and short in another can get accounts closed.
Getting paid
The split is 90% on evaluation accounts and 80% on Instant Sim Funded. Launch and Propel funded accounts can request payouts daily, Monday to Friday, while Orbit pays every three trading days with a weekly cap. Payouts go through Rise or Gusto.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
BluSky is rated 4.7 on Trustpilot from about 830 reviews, and the score has stayed in the 4.5 to 4.7 range across review site snapshots going back to 2025. Most of the praise is about support and daily payouts. The criticism is quieter and centres on the rules: consistency limits, early payout caps, and a risk review before traders move to a live brokerage account. Forex Peace Army and Prop Firm Match both have pages on the firm, but neither shows a score.
What traders like
Support. This is the most repeated theme on Trustpilot. Reviewers name individual support staff, say tickets get answered quickly, and mention help with platform glitches, including a blown account reinstated from the prior day's balance.
Daily payouts. Many traders like being able to request a payout any weekday, and several Reddit posts from 2026 report first payouts arriving without trouble.
Static drawdown and a path to live trading. Traders often point to the static drawdown accounts and the route from a simulated account to a real brokerage account as reasons they chose BluSky.
Coaching. Some long-time customers say the coaching helped them trade with more discipline.
Common complaints
Restrictive rules and capped payouts. A few Reddit commenters say the rules are harder than at competing firms and that early payouts are capped too low.
Dashboard problems. Some Trustpilot reviewers say the dashboard froze or showed balances that did not match their platform.
Data fees. An older Reddit thread says traders were registered as professional data users and paid a high monthly data fee.
Live account review. One review site says the most serious recent complaints involve the risk team closing accounts or declining live applications at the brokerage stage.
Recently
July to September 2026: review sites still report a Trustpilot score around 4.7, with the latest reviews dated August 2026. An August aggregator rated sentiment more cautiously, at 3 out of 5, citing limited long-term data. Recent coverage also mentions rolling seven-day payout caps.
