Overview

Tradier is a US broker from Charlotte, North Carolina, built for active options traders and people who automate. Its big draw is the API: more than 100 outside platforms, like Option Alpha, plug into a Tradier account, and you can build your own. Stocks and options go through Tradier Brokerage, Inc., a broker-dealer registered with the SEC and a FINRA and SIPC member. Futures sit in a separate company, Tradier Futures Inc., working with Dorman Trading.

Accounts and costs

You pick a plan rather than an account type. Lite is free but charges $0.35 per stock trade and per options contract. Pro costs $10 a month and drops stocks and equity options to $0, with index options at $0.35. Pro Plus is $35 a month, adds cheaper index options at $0.10 and lower futures rates. A cash account has no minimum, margin needs $2,000, and IRAs are available. If your balance stays under $2,000 and you make fewer than two trades a year, there's a $50 inactivity fee.

Platforms and markets

Tradier has its own web and mobile apps, and a desktop app on the paid plans. You can trade straight from TradingView charts, and every plan includes API access with paper trading. Futures run on Tradier Pro for Futures or CQG, with Rithmic connections for $25 a month. Spot FX is offered through TradingView, MT4 and MT5 at up to 50:1, and the site lists crypto too. It doesn't accept UK clients.

Money in and out

Funding is by bank only: ACH or wire, with no cards or e-wallets. ACH deposits and withdrawals are free. Domestic wire withdrawals cost $30 and international ones $75.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Tradier has a small review footprint, and what there is splits by type of user. Its Trustpilot page holds 2.2 from 25 reviews, mostly negative, and one Option Alpha forum user called them some of the worst Trustpilot reviews they had seen. TradingView has a page of verified reviews with a mix of praise and complaints, but no score in the evidence we collected. On Reddit, algorithmic and API traders tend to speak well of Tradier, while people using it as an everyday broker are less happy.

What traders like

  • The API. Reddit users in r/options, r/algotrading and r/Daytrading say Tradier's API is among the best for options, and several use it through Option Alpha or their own bots.

  • Subscription pricing. Heavy options traders like the flat monthly plans that cut per-contract costs, and one says it saved them a lot over tens of thousands of trades.

  • Platform choice. TradingView reviewers like trading straight from TradingView charts, and some mention reaching a human on support.

Common complaints

  • Withdrawals held up. Several reviewers on Trustpilot, TradingView and Reddit say withdrawals were rejected or delayed, including wire and cheque requests and a ten-business-day hold on new deposits. One Reddit user replied that they had withdrawn large sums without trouble.

  • Outages and order problems. Some TradingView users describe disconnections from TradingView, orders that would not cancel, and a day when trading stopped over an accounting issue.

  • Fees. A few reviewers object to a $75 outgoing transfer fee and the inactivity fee, and one says a promised transfer bonus never arrived.

  • A clunky web interface. Some say Tradier's own interface is confusing and better avoided if you are not trading through another platform.

Recently

Nothing dated in the last 90 days turned up in the evidence. The latest Trustpilot activity we saw was from June 2026.
