Overview

Pepperstone is a CFD and forex broker built for active traders, and in the UK it also runs a spread betting account. It's licensed in a lot of places: the FCA in the UK, ASIC in Australia, CySEC in Cyprus, BaFin in Germany, the DFSA in Dubai, the CMA in Kenya and the SCB in the Bahamas. Your entity, and so your leverage and protections, depends on where you live. It doesn't take US clients.

Accounts and costs

There are two CFD accounts. Standard has no commission and puts all costs into the spread, with about a 1 pip mark-up on FX. Razor gives you raw spreads from 0.0 on FX and 0.08 on gold, then charges a fixed commission, from $3.50 per lot per side (from £2.25 for UK clients). Share CFDs carry a commission on both. UK traders can also open a spread betting account, where profits are free of capital gains tax and stakes are in pounds per point. The stated minimum deposit is $10. Retail leverage is capped at 1:30 in the UK and EU, while professional clients can go up to 1:1000 on gold and FX.

Platforms and markets

You get MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and Pepperstone's own web platform and app. TradingView isn't offered on the Standard CFD account. There are more than 1,350 CFDs across forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs and crypto, including round-the-clock trading on 100+ big US stocks. Demo accounts run on every platform.

Money in and out

Pepperstone doesn't charge for deposits. Options depend on your region and include bank transfer, cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, Google Pay and local methods. Most withdrawals land within one business day, bank transfers can take up to seven, and only international bank withdrawals carry a fee.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Most traders who review Pepperstone are happy with it, and the praise is mostly about costs and execution. It holds 4.2 on Trustpilot from about 3,600 reviews and about 3.5 on Forex Peace Army from roughly 390 reviews, as quoted by FXLeaders. The smaller Sitejabber page sits at 2.7 from 24 reviews, and that is where the angriest withdrawal stories collect.

What traders like

  • Tight spreads and fast fills. Reviewers on Trustpilot, Myfxbook and Reddit keep coming back to low spreads on the majors and gold, and to quick execution on the Razor account.

  • Easy deposits and quick withdrawals. Many say card deposits land almost at once and withdrawals reach them within a day or two.

  • Platform choice. MT4, MT5, cTrader and the TradingView link all get mentioned as reasons people picked it.

  • Support that answers. Plenty of reviewers say staff reply quickly and fix problems, and the firm responds publicly on Trustpilot, FPA and TradingView.

Common complaints

  • Withdrawal friction. Some reviewers say withdrawals were held up, or that they could only withdraw by bank transfer after depositing by card or PayPal. A Reddit thread from January 2026 asking whether large withdrawals go smoothly drew both reassurance and a few stories of slow support.

  • Fees on crypto withdrawals. An FPA reviewer says a large USDT withdrawal cost far more than support had told them, and WikiFX collects similar USDT complaints.

  • Slippage and order fills. A few Myfxbook and FPA posts describe news-time slippage or orders that did not trigger as expected.

  • Slow handling of complex cases. Some say routine questions get fast answers but disputes drag on for weeks.

Recently

  • August 2026: an FPA reviewer says their account was moved from the Australian entity to one in the Bahamas and that funds were locked while it was sorted out.

  • July to October 2026: the Trustpilot score has stayed around 4.2 to 4.3, with recent reviews mentioning easy onboarding and quick withdrawals.

Where this comes from

  • Trustpilot: the broker's main review page, the biggest pool of reviews.

  • Forex Peace Army: trader reviews and complaint threads.

  • Sitejabber: a small set of mostly negative reviews.

  • Myfxbook: trader reviews, many about execution.

  • TradingView: reviews from traders using the TradingView link.

  • Reddit: a 2026 thread on withdrawal experiences.
