Overview
IronFX is a forex and CFD broker built around MetaTrader 4, with a long menu of account types and both fixed and floating spreads. It suits traders who like picking between commission-free and zero-spread pricing, or who want a fixed spread. IronFX is a trade name of Notesco, which is headquartered in Cyprus. The European arm is regulated by CySEC, there's an FCA licence in the UK and an FSCA licence in South Africa, and global clients are served through an offshore entity outside EU and UK rules. It doesn't accept US clients.
Accounts and costs
There are several live accounts. Standard comes with fixed or floating spreads and no commission. No Commission has floating spreads from about 0.9 pips, and Absolute Zero is also commission-free with tighter minimum spreads on the majors. Zero Spread and Live Zero Fixed Spread charge a per-lot commission instead. Reported minimum deposits range from $50 to $100 depending on the account, with $500 for Zero Spread, so check before you sign up. Leverage reaches 1:1000 on the global entity, 1:500 in South Africa and 1:30 for retail clients in Cyprus and the UK. Islamic accounts are available.
Platforms and markets
MT4 is the main platform, with WebTrader in the browser, and the site also lists MT5. Copy trading, PAMM/MAM and VPS hosting are on offer. You can trade CFDs on 80+ currency pairs, metals, energies, indices, shares, futures and crypto.
Money in and out
You can fund by bank wire, cards, e-wallets, Bitcoin and local transfers, in base currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and JPY. IronFX doesn't charge deposit fees. Most withdrawals are free and take one to two business days, but bank wires can cost more and an inactivity fee kicks in after 90 days.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
IronFX's reviews split sharply by site. On the two sites with the longest record of complaints it scores poorly: about 2.8 on Trustpilot from roughly 720 reviews, and 1.3 on Forex Peace Army from about 250, where the broker is blacklisted. On sites that collect invited reviews it scores high: 4.68 on Reviews.io from about 680, and 4.5 on both Sitejabber (about 150) and SmartCustomer (about 175). Some reviewers openly doubt that the glowing reviews are genuine, so the low scores deserve the closer read.
What traders like
Wide account choice and high leverage. Reviewers mention fixed, floating and commission-based accounts, and leverage far above EU limits through the offshore entity.
Long track record. Several positive reviews say the broker's history since 2010 is the main reason they trust it.
Personal service. Some praise account managers, webinars and trading competitions such as the 2026 World Trading Cup.
Smooth deposits. Funding is rarely the problem, according to most reviewers on both sides.
Common complaints
Withdrawals declined or stalled. The dominant theme on Trustpilot and Forex Peace Army: requests rejected without a clear reason, repeated verification demands, and emails that go unanswered. Some reviews involve only the deposit, with no trading at all.
Profits reversed. A number of traders say profits were removed and accounts closed after accusations of arbitrage or rule breaches, while losses were left in place.
Hard to reach. Trustpilot's own summary notes many reviewers struggling to contact the company.
Pressure from advisers. Some describe account managers pushing for larger deposits.
Review handling. One Trustpilot reviewer says IronFX offered a settlement in exchange for deleting negative reviews.
Older history adds context: Finance Magnates reported in the mid-2010s on withdrawal delays, bonus-abuse investigations and a CySEC probe.
Recently
July 2026: recent Trustpilot reviews describe small withdrawals being declined and account access stuck in verification.
August 2026: an independent review site reports recurring withdrawal and account-closure complaints concentrated among clients of the offshore Bermuda entity.
